1st International Calligraphy Competition
dedicated to Hamid Aytac (1891-1982), 1986
1272 works were submitted to this competition by 356 participants from 18 countries. 62 works by 43 participants from 17 countries were given awards totaling US$ 30,000. An award ceremony was held on 16 May 1987 coinciding
with the fifth anniversary of Hamid Aytac’s death.
